Title: The Mother Mountain
Narrator:
Long ago, in the big forest, there was a strong spirit.
She was the Mother Mountain.
She had green hair and a big stick.
She loved the trees. She loved the animals.
Mother Mountain:
“I protect this forest. No one can hurt it!”
Narrator:
One day, a man came with an axe.
He wanted to cut many trees.
Farmer:
“I want wood for my house. Chop, chop, chop!”
Narrator:
The birds flew away. The monkeys cried.
The Mother Mountain got very angry.
Mother Mountain:
“Stop! This forest is not yours!”
Narrator:
The man ran and ran.
He fell in the river.
Splash!
The forest was safe again.
Animals (together):
“Thank you, Mother Mountain!”
Narrator:
And now, the forest is still green.
Because the Mother Mountain is always watching.
